Review of Rook & Ronin: Tragic by JA Huss

Happy Monday friends! Personally that weekend felt like we were missing a day but whatever 😉 Last week was insane in such a good way that it made me realize I should probably get better at time management haha! I am so excited to write this review because this whole set of books is simple amazing and JA Huss is basically a genius. There are about one million books in this series that interconnect and break off into their own cool thing and link back to other books and leave you saying “WOW!” So without further ado- Tragic ❤

How far are you willing to go to start over?

Rook Walsh is homeless, jobless, and down to her last ten bucks when opportunity knocks her in the head and delivers a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Internationally renowned photographer, Antoine Chaput, knows the minute he spies Rook in his studio that she’s got The Look. The dark and desperate look he must have to land the exclusive TRAGIC media contract.

Rook is paired up with top model Ronin, and he knows exactly what to do to make her blush for Antoine’s camera. Her luck changes in an instant and suddenly she’s got more attention and exposure than she can handle–both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

-Book description from Amazon

The Good:
Oh this book… There is just so much perfect about this book I don’t know how to just pick a few things. The writing is amazing. The characters are beyond swoon worthy. And the freaking plot? It goes places you never see coming. This book overall is amazing and this is why it has earned FIVE STARS in my book. I love that the chapters go back and forth between Rook and Ronin so you get a little bit of each character. It is so amazing to get history and understanding from both of them and it is done in one book, okay okay, three books, but really it is done amazing and they all flow together. The good news is that all 7 books that are officially in this series are out already.
The Rook and Ronin Series:
(1) TRAGIC
(2) MANIC
(3) PANIC
Spin-offs
(4) SLACK: A Day in the Life of Ford Aston
(5) TAUT: The Ford Book
(6) BOMB: A Day in the Life of Spencer Shrike
(7) GUNS: The Spencer Book

Now I understand how 7 books can seem a little intimidating to some but what is really cool is you can get the first three in one omnibus on Amazon!

This book is full of so many amazing characters you will want to never stop reading! And Huss always finishes on a strong note with her End of Book Sh*t that is an unedited bit from her that comes in every book.

The Bad:
Nothing. At all. The plot is solid, the characters amazing, and the writing is solid!

The Recommendation:
Buy all of the books! Even the ones that aren’t a part of the series. Although I feel it is fair to note that there are some pretty intense sex scenes in some of them so definitely be aware of that. I would not recommend these books to anyone under the age of 18. There are strong triggers in this book and honestly in most of her books. They can be intense at times but so worth the read! Buy the omnibus here or if you want to start off smaller you can get Tragic here!
