Review of Author Anonymous by E.K. Blair

Happy Friday fellow book worms and word nerds 🙂 (I kind of like that one- I may keep it around!) I hope you all have exciting plans for the weekend! And I am excited to talk about this book so lets skip the chit chat and get down to it!!

A TRUE STORY told through the voice of New York Times Bestselling author E.K. Blair. She’s an author. She’s a mother. She’s a wife. She’s a fraud. A woman marked and bound by her own deceit, this is the astounding tale of how one choice knocked her world from its axis forcing her to battle through a year of scandal and betrayal, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. This is an intoxicatingly risqué stand-alone true story tangled in lust, heartbreak, and contrition

You guys! This book was such an intense, pull you in, and tear you apart read. You go in knowing that this is real life and still it is just so much. The fact that Anonymous put herself out there for the world to see is intense and amazing. It doesn’t matter that we don’t know who she is because she will still see everything that everyone writes and feels about this book. She will see the judgment and the sympathy side by side and the fact that she willingly put that information out there for the world is nothing short of bold and amazing. She uses E.K. Blair to tell a story that many people would never admit to feeling let alone acting on in their own life. I am not saying that anything done in this book is good but I am also not condemning Anonymous. We don’t know her life and we don’t know what was going on to get her to the point of the year she lived in the book. Not everyone will agree and that is fine but I think that we all need to see it for what it is. A woman who decided to change things and fight for what was important to her, a woman who willingly put her story out there, and honestly a woman who was bold enough to admit that sometimes life is hard and we lost sight of who we are. And I know that half of this paragraph will not make sense at all because I am rambling but I find it hard to put my thoughts into words on this one.

The writing done by E.K. was simply amazing. She is always able to take a story and write in all of its beautiful dark and twisted glory. I can’t express how happy I am that Anonymous approached her because I think that if anyone else had done it that we would not have gotten the full feeling of all of the raw emotions and chaos that this book has. Well done E.K.! You are one of my top 10 authors to read because I feel that all of your books are full of so much meaning and emotions and this book is nothing short of amazing. I will always pick up one of your books when I want to feel all of the feels and be ripped open. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world and for putting so much meaning and heart into your work.

The Recommendation:
I feel that this one is obvious but 5 out of 5 stars. I do recommend this book to everyone but that is just because I know what I like. I feel like you should know that this is an emotional read. As always I am a big fan of going in blind to books and I am so glad I did. As always, if you are familiar with E.K. Blair’s work be ready to be left raw and feeling. Let me know what your thoughts are on this amazing read!
