Review of Crash Burn Sting by Alora Kate

Happy hump day word nerds!! I hope the first half of your week has gone well! I know mine has!! I love Alora Kate’s books so whenever a chance comes along to read her books I jump all on it! This book is, of course, no exception so without further ado…

Heaven. Hell.
Good. Evil.
What do you believe in?
Who do you believe in?
The best day of my sad, pathetic life was the day I died.
I’m not a good person.
I want the name Rawson Lorde and all that goes with it to be forgotten on Earth. I deserve to rot in hell and reflect on my own choices for the rest of eternity.
I don’t deserve a happily ever after.
I don’t deserve to be in Heaven.
I don’t deserve a second chance at happiness.
So, imagine my surprise when I find God and the Devil himself fighting over my soul.
They send me back to Earth with Oath, my Guardian Angel (and enormous pain in the ass), to complete some impossible tasks.
I’ve been given a second chance.
A second chance that won’t make a difference.
A second chance I don’t want

Something that I appreciate about Alora Kate is how she writes in such different genres. Just whatever comes to her gets put down on paper! I just love it!

This book was definitely not what I was expecting at all! One of the things that I enjoy as a reader is getting to see everything fall into pieces while the characters are still trying to figure it out while I am over here yelling at them and contemplating throwing my kindle on the ground. I like the feeling of getting a sneak peak and Alora did that in this book. We get to see the story through the eyes of Issa and Rawson and see as they struggle to make sense of life.

This ending is not at all what I was expecting and it made me so angry/happy so I didn’t really know what to do! Of course, it all worked out and everything was just how it was supposed to be but it was so bittersweet! Alora definitely made a rollercoaster of emotions happen.

And then there is Oath. Seriously, can I have her as a Guardian Angel? I love her! She is a spunky fighter who takes care of the people she loves regardless of the cost. Her push to make sure everyone is taken care of is simply perfect and I love her, except when she takes all the bon-bons! Sharing is caring! haha

This book is a quick, light read for those of you looking at some free time on your hands! I give this a solid 4 stars, I really enjoyed the characters and it was a nice break-up between longer reads! It was a break without stopping reading haha. Be sure to keep your eyes open since this beauty comes out on Friday 5/19! You can also preorder from amazon for only 99 pennies!! When you read it let me know what you thought!!
