Review of Everything We Keep by Kerry Lonsdale

Happy Thursday word nerds! I hope everyone is surviving the residual fireworks going on everywhere! So Everything We Keep was actually a NetGalley book I received to prepare for the release of Everything We Left Behind (which came out on July 4th and I will be reading all day!) and I am so glad I did! So without further ado…

A luminous debut with unexpected twists, Everything We Keep explores the devastation of loss, the euphoria of finding love again, and the pulse-racing repercussions of discovering the truth about the ones we hold dear and the lengths they will go to protect us.

Sous chef Aimee Tierney has the perfect recipe for the perfect life: marry her childhood sweetheart, raise a family, and buy out her parents’ restaurant. But when her fiancé, James Donato, vanishes in a boating accident, her well-baked future is swept out to sea. Instead of walking down the aisle on their wedding day, Aimee is at James’s funeral—a funeral that leaves her more unsettled than at peace.

As Aimee struggles to reconstruct her life, she delves deeper into James’s disappearance. What she uncovers is an ocean of secrets that make her question everything about the life they built together. And just below the surface is a truth that may set Aimee free…or shatter her forever.

You guys! This book was so good! It was full of twists and turns that kept me on my feet from start to finish. This book is essentially my worst fears come to life but the author wrote such a gripping story I couldn’t put it down and I have the bags under my eyes to prove it!

This summer read will keep you on the edge of your seat and flipping pages faster than your eyes can track. I definitely recommend that you add this to your summer reading list ASAP! 4 solid stars for not only the awesome plot but the writing that pulls you in and keeps you interested!
